AUXDATA ACCESS
A directive has come down from the Department of Homeland Security that all
accounts that remain inactive for 45 days will be locked. Effective 1 June 2009,
OSC will make the change to AUXDATA. If you have access, please make it a point
to sign-on the system at least once a month to maintain your access and keep
from having your access locked and eventually deleted. This applies to both the
Production and Training databases.

14. Auxiliary Mission Activity Reporting
Auxiliary interpreter mission hours shall
be promptly reported as follows:
-
Interpreter Assistance (Form 7030,
Category 60A)
·
Claim 24/7 hours for duration of shipboard deployments
(i.e. – the time from initially reporting aboard for interpreter duty
until final departure from the unit).
·
Actual hours for all other interpreter or translation
assistance, not to exceed 18 hours per day to take into consideration a
minimum of six hours for sleep/rest. This includes translations of
presentation materials used for deployment.
·
Actual LQE preparation and assessment hours.
-
Other Activities (Form 7029)
·
Travel time to and from deployment.
·
Travel time to and from interpreter assistance missions.
·
Travel time for medical check-up, vaccinations, and
immunizations.
·
Preparation time for interpreter assistance missions.
It is not unusual for Interpreters
reporting 30-day shipboard deployment of 720 hours under Category 60A on
Form 7030, plus 2-1/2 days travel time of approximately 60 hours going
to Africa or Asia on Form 7029.
We respectfully request prompt
dissemination via the Information Technology chain to ensure that all
Interpreters in AUXDATA designated "INT" receive appropriately reported
mission hours credit.

The new 1-Hour TCT Refresher course is now available for the SO-IS level to
enter into
AUXDATA as TCTRSH (WK-17) - 1 Hr
TCT Refresher

- Any
member who does not take a required Nationally approved workshop before 31
May of each year (entry must be in AUXDATA prior to 30 June) will be
assigned a REWK flag. The REWK flag must be cleared by DIRAUX after the
workshop is satisfied and entered into AUXDATA which must be prior to
30 September because normally the new workshops for the following year are
released on 1 October. If the member does not have the REWK flag cleared
prior to 31 December, the REWK is changed to REYR. To clear a REYR the
member must meet the RE-CERTIFICATION requirements for the program as
prescribed in Chapter 8 of the Auxiliary Manual.
- A
combination of the Training Status Report and total hours performed showing
in AUXINFO are required to determine the actual reason a member went into
REYR status. Many times it is because a member has not cleared the REYR from
a previous year and continued to perform duties that they were not currently
certified to perform. It is IMPORTANT for all FSO/SO/DSO-IS officers to not
input hours for LEAD and NON-LEAD positions if they get a warning flag that
the member is not currently CERTIFIED for that position. In this
instance, enter the member as TRAINEE until the problem is resolved. By
doing this you may have a mission with no LEAD showing but it needs to be
resolved.

Recently questions were asked about reporting to AUXDATA Radio Watch
activities.
Below are some guidelines for processing radio communications paperwork:
-
While all
communications activities do not require orders, as outlined on page
2-6, par A.7 of the Operations Manual, it is clear that radio facilities
are to be used for the purposes set forth on page A4-8, par C.4 of the
Operations Manual. Consequently, it is not appropriate to record
passive listening to a radio as operational hours on Form 7030 without
doing active radio checks and communications. Merely turning on a radio
and listening does not constitute a Radio Watch.
Background Information:
-
(1.) The 7030
form provides 3 categories for radio support: 20A, 20B and 29
-
20A - Covers
radio support for OPS mission where the vessel is under orders
and the radio unit is guarding their mission.
Note the
vessel MUST be
under orders.
-
20B - Covers
radio watchstanding and is only for qualified USCG watchstanders
(not AUXCOM) and where these individuals are requested by the
USCG to perform the duty.
-
29 - Covers
AUTHORIZED USCGA radio nets/drills.
Please ensure that Comms
personnel along with your FSO-IS personnel are aware of these provisions of
the Operations Manual, and that they record communications activities
correctly in AUXDATA.

PLEASE SEND THIS
TO ALL SO-OP AND SO-IS STAFF SO THEY MAY GET THE WORD OUT TO ALL OF
THE OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL.
IT HAS COME TO OUR
ATTENTION THAT "SAR CALL OUT" CODE 25 IS
BEING USED ON THE 7030 (MISSION REPORT) WHEN A SAR MISSION IS
PERFORMED.
THE 25 CODE "SAR
CALL OUT" IS USED ONLY WHEN CALLED OUT BY ORDER ISSUING AUTHORITY.
ORDER ISSUING
AUTHORITY IS DEFINED AS "COAST GUARD", IE.
SECTOR OHIO VALLEY (SOHV), MARINE SAFETY UNIT (MSU) OR
MARINE SAFETY DETACHMENT (MSD).
ALL OTHER SAR
MISSION UNDER ORDERS WILL BE CODED AS 24 SAR OPS.
A SECOND MISSION
CODE HAS BEEN USED INCORRECTLY ALSO,
A 27 CODE ELT.( ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS AND TREATIES) SUPPORT MISSION.
THIS CODE IS NOT
TO BE USED BY THE SURFACE OPERATION PERSONNEL.
IF YOU BELIEVE THERE IS A SITUATION WHEN THIS CODE SHOULD BE
USED, CHECK VIA CHAIN OF LEADERSHIP BEFORE ENTERING ON MISSION
REPORT.

In response to many questions about the upcoming
TCT 1-hour workshop which is mandatory for 2007,
just hold the paperwork until the workshop is added to AUXDATA and
have the FSO/SO-IS enter the
data as we do other workshops.
